You are entitled to exactly what you had up to the limits of your policy. In other words if you had a 3 bedroom, 3 bath, with a 2 car garage and a swimming pool and big screen TV then you are entitled to that says Troy Payne.

The adjuster may suggest a hotel. This might be nice for a few nights but remember the last time you went on a vacation and how even though you had fun you were glad to be home. Get comfortable and realize to do the repairs and settle the claim properly will take time.

This duty has been litigated over and over so make sure you understand your obligations and your rights. Most policies do have a cap as to the limits but it is usually enough to live comfortably while the repairs are being made.
